Authenticity
Every session is a conversation, not a performance. I photograph people as they truly are — real, unposed, full of life.

Founder & Lead Photographer
Born in Cali, Colombia in 1970, Germán spent part of his childhood in Costa Rica before returning to Cali in 1980, where he built his career. He now lives in Houston, TX, where he founded GR Creative Studio. His journey into photography began in 1987 under the mentorship of master photographer Jorge Torres, learning the art of black-and-white and color portraiture.
He went on to study television production, graduating in 1991. Eight years later, he joined the renowned Ackermann Foto photography house — a collaboration that continues today. He has also worked with companies such as Foto Internacional and the national newspaper Diario La República.
Germán honed his craft through workshops at Fundación Atma, where he specialized in light-painted still life and artistic nude photography. He also attended seminars on Collective Identities, Digital Photography, and Food Photography at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín.
His career includes portraits for album covers of artists such as Henry Fiol, El Charrito Negro, and Andrés Soler. He also photographed radio personalities for Cali Expo Show (2010), created calendars and banners for RCN radio stations Fiesta Estéreo (2011), Radio Uno (2012), and Radio Calidad (2020).
In the commercial world, he has produced images for major brands including Industria de Licores del Valle, Ron Viejo de Caldas, Domicilios.com, Colegio Berchmans, Colegio Alemán, and many more. He also served as photographer and judge on television programs like 'Guerra de Modelos' and 'Coctel Nocturno' on Canal Telepacífico.
With over three decades of experience spanning editorial, commercial, food, portrait, and event photography, Germán brings a rare depth of expertise to every session at GR Creative Studio in Houston.

Every session is a conversation, not a performance. I photograph people as they truly are — real, unposed, full of life.
Light, composition, timing. The details that make an image unforgettable are always there — you just have to learn to see them.
The best photos come when people feel at ease. My work before the camera is building that trust.
Let's create something you'll keep for a lifetime.
